Me: Bio
"Each photograph tells a story, revealing the emotions in the moments that often go unnoticed."
- Shahar Dekel
About me
I tell stories. The medium doesn't matter — a photograph, a film, writing — it's all just a way to get the story across. I'm looking for the stuff people do when they think nobody's watching. A hand fixing a collar. The face between two expressions. The two seconds of silence before a conversation starts. That's where everything lives.
My name is Shahar Dekel. I studied film, picked up a still camera along the way, and realized the camera was never the point. The story is.
I don't really call myself an artist. I just keep looking until I find the thing worth seeing, and then I try to make you feel it too. If that's art — great. If not, at least it's honest.
Let's make something together. Or just grab coffee. I'm good at both.
